I have been singing and playing the piano for as long as I can remember. In high school I competed in TMTA piano competitions, accompanied friends for their UIL solos, and sang in the school musical. I went on to get a BS in Computer Science and an MS in Electrical Engineering but continued to sing in choirs and play the piano. I worked in the semiconductor industry before taking time to raise my children and volunteer in their schools.
I returned to school as an adult and earned BM in Vocal Performance at Texas State University in May 2018. I began teaching private lessons in my home in 2015.
I am an active performer and have worked with:
Austin Cantorum
Conspirare Symphonic Choir
Panoramic Voices (formerly Texas Choral Consort)
The Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Austin
Texas State University choirs
Drag Me to the Opera
Placebo Effect (oldies cover band)
Funkatonic (cover band)
I am a soloist and soprano section leader for a church in Austin, and I have experience in choral directing and accompanying.
My studio is in my home, where lessons are carefully observed by my dogs, Trouble and BeBop.
